Wavy, Hairy, Tall Baskets

Wavy, hairy, tall baskets are created in collaboration with African weavers who use traditional technique to create contemporary art.

Ghana's art baskets, with unique wavy shapes are created by skilled weavers using durable, naturally dyed elephant grass. The collection of very tall and thin baskets are Woven in Rwanda by the women's cooperative Gahaya Links. The long lean tall baskets represent a departure from the traditional motifs, introducing a new contemporary rendering of a traditional craft.
